Montenegro is facing a dangerous situation. The parliament recently took the decision, against the will of the majority of citizens, to join NATO, although 84% of the population of Montenegro, according to government sources, is in favour of a referendum.
It should be understood that forcing Montenegro into NATO, by NATO and its partners, the mafia style clique in power in the country, can only destabilize the society, and more importantly that is happening right now. This is political aggression by NATO against Montenegro.
The decision about Montenegro entering NATO is not valid, because it is not backed by the people of Montenegro. It is backed by an undemocratic regime that hasn’t change for almost three decades.
We call on progressive forces in NATO and non-NATO member states to support the Montenegrin people in their struggle against this illegitimate and illegal process.
We call on the government of Montenegro to respect the will of the people.
