As the Covid crisis deepens and a serious slump looms, The People’s Assembly has called a day of action protesting against Covid austerity and demanding more spending on health, homes, jobs and education.
Stop the War is supporting the protests on 17 October and asks all our groups and members to participate. It is an important moment to put across the argument that the billions currently being spent on war could and should be switched to providing much needed support for health and welfare.
There are local protests across the country and a demonstration in London assembling at the SERCO HQ in Victoria Street. There will also be an online demonstration as well that you can join.
We have produced a Cut Warfare not Healthcare poster that you can download here to take on the protests or put in your window.
