Lindsey German: “We should also demand entry into Europe for all Syrian refugees, and the end to the inhuman treatment of them by EU governments, including our own. Those are some things that really could be done to help end this war. This is the biggest European refugee crisis since the Second World War, when millions of Europeans were displaced as a result of six years of conflict. Today the attitudes of governments across Europe are reminiscent not of 1945 but of the 1930s.”
