Julian Assange, a political prisoner and the founder of WikiLeaks faces extradition to the US on charges of espionage. He is accused by the Trump Government for publishing the Afghan and Iraq War Logs for which he could face 175 years in a US jail. The final part of his hearing is due to commence on the 7th September. Julian’s health is in danger. His life is at stake.
The women of Iraq and Afghanistan have repeatedly been the victims of US/UK military aggression. They have suffered displacement, rape, injury and death. Wikileaks exposed US war crimes and changed the perception of these wars irrevocably.
Julian Assange is a loving son, partner and father. He is not a criminal. Not one woman or child has ever been hurt as a result of WikiLeaks.
Our excellent all female panel will make the case for why as women we stand alongside Julian Assange. We send our solidarity to our sisters across the world and all who have suffered so much in war.
Journalism is not a crime. We have the right to know what our governments do in our name. Free Julian Assange.
